Welcome to our freshwater ecology laboratory
Water provides the basis for all living organisms. Water provides a unique habitat in which chemistry, biochemistry and life interact. In our lab, we focus on the investigation of this habitat, from the point of view of limnological analysis and conservation ecology. Through an active approach that incorporates quantification, research and multi-faceted investigations, we have ascertained the mechanical aspects, including ecological applications and energy flows, of the aquatic environment. Due to change freshwater-ecosystem and accumulate long-term data, we are intensively preceding on research internal main water system such as Nakdong river estuary and Upo-reservoir. In the research, it estimates Long-term ecosystem, food-web structure and species diversity with an ecological report.
Based on accumulated long-term data, our lab focuses on assessing the effects of long-term changes to the aquatic ecosystem. The principle source of our research is the Nakdong River and Upo wetlands. We are looking at long-term effects on ecosystems, food web structure and diversity of aquatic systems.
